A Charity Auction on Family Day
Written by Amelia And Filed Under: fun and learning, fun-filled activity, living in SingaporeLast Saturday, my family attend the Family Day organized by the company where my husband is currently working. It was our first time to attend since last year for some reasons we didn't attend the event. But anyway, this year the weather was all so fine and we prepare the kids for the activity. We arrived at the venue pass 3pm. There are a lot of activities. Games, shows, raffle and of course food and drinks. All sort of drinks from water, soda's, juice, name it they have it. The kids enjoy much of the event. My son even tried the boat ride for some reason he was the one who said to us, "I want to try that one" and so we let him try. He did enjoy and never wants to stop.

Aside from all fun stuff for the employee and family members. The company also had this charity auction. Where in the display pictures, paintings and sketches were up for bid. And the proceeds will be given to the selected charity institution. We participated on the second set of auction. This was our first time to participate in an auction and it was fun.

I bid for the oil-in-canvass painting. I bid for this because I like the colour and the way artist portray the normal scenario in a typical coffee shop here in Singapore. I didn't let this chance pass. Luckily I have my husband's support on this. And so I was able to have the painting. And not just that we were also able to donate in the charity by simply bidding. What a nice deal.
